Nottingham Islamia School aims to teach a broad spectrum of subjects to develop the potential of each student, whilst following the national curriculum.
The curriculum is enriched by islamising it; this consists of teaching Arabic, Urdu, Islamic Studies and Qur'anic reading and memorisation. This fine blending of the religious, cultural and academic learning not only boosts the self-confidence and self-esteem of our students but makes education relevant for the subjects. Lessons begin and end with a dua.
The school buzzes with devotional songs and prayers. In the pursuit of moral and spiritual development there is a stress on prayer, practising good manners, developing moral characteristics, constant remembrance of Allah, (SWT) respecting others and showing care and concern for fellow pupils. Children are encouraged to explore the application of Islamic teachings in a modern society.
